May meeting details

We're meeting at a brand-new venue in May, so please read all the details about it & our meeting theme below:

When: Thursday May 18, 2017 (ie. our usual third Thursday of the month)

Time: 6:00pm to 9:00pm (but it's no problem if you come late, or leave early)

Where: The Amenities Room of the condominium located at 350 East 2nd Avenue in Vancouver, BC (on the south side of East 2nd Avenue, between Scotia & Brunswick...two & a half blocks east of Main Street). Please knock on the door to be let in. There is free street parking in the area, but it's first come, first served.

Theme/Topic for this meeting: "FIRST & LAST"--THE FIRST FOUNTAIN PEN YOU OWNED & THE LATEST ONE YOU ACQUIRED. Our secondary topic is always Newest Acquisitions (pens, ink or pen-related accessories).

We did "your first fountain pen" as a topic back in January 2010 but since we have so many new members, I thought it'd be nice to reuse an old theme. If you don't own your first fountain pen any longer, please tell us about it anyway. I'm also curious as to how (or if) your pen-buying habits have changed over the years (unless you're brand-new to fountain pens....which is perfectly fine!)---ie. did you go from a "first pen" that was a modern pen, and then drifted over to vintage pens...or vice-versa? I think it'll be interesting to hear other members' experiences, so I hope you can make it to the meeting! No need to RSVP...
