Happy 2021, everyone! I thought we'd start the New Year with a lovely vintage figural desk set made by Sheaffer and acquired by VPCer Stuart last month...

pheasant desk-set. The detail on the figurine is very fine - the spurs
on the bird’s legs are present, and the hand-painted highlighting for
the upper body and head is nicely done."
"There’s a groove cut in the
base to serve as a pen-rest..."

pen needs a new sac as usual, but the nib is yet another nice Fine - a
clean smooth line with a little shading to it. Another winner, I’m very
happy with this one! "
