Newest Acquisitions (Virtual "Show & Tell") ~ part 366

Here's another recent vintage find belonging to Christopher!

Christopher writes: "Sometimes, but all too often for me, a vintage pen just catches and keeps my interest. Such is the case with this exquisite Morrison, finished in sapphire blue with 14k Gold filled fittings."

He continues: "The pen has, to my mind, a simple elegance in design and overall appearance. The blue plastic came with a sheen that was even more impressive when polished. The Morrison pens I have come across have always had extremely good quality nibs and this pen is no exception. The gold filled clip has an interesting spear shape, sitting raised on a more squared shape background. Nice touch, as is the lever filler, which in a way matches the cap clip but is inverted toward the bottom of the rounded barrel end. The cap band is reasonably wide and is engraved 1/40 – 14KT. R.G.P., while the barrel is imprinted Morrison Fountain Pen Co. New York, N.Y. USA and a Pat. This pen is a lovely writer, smooth and even with ink on the paper. A pleasure to use and a great addition to my vintage pen collection."

Our thanks to Christopher for sharing this recent acquisition with us! We'll be featuring another interesting vintage pen belonging to Christopher on Saturday, so stay tuned ...
