A few photos from our January meeting!

Our January meeting was held on the 18th at the Kitsilano branch of the Vancouver Public Library. Many thanks to everyone (including new members Villoo & Paul) who braved the snowy weather to come to our get-together! Special thanks to Asifa and Peter for taking photos during the meeting; I wasn't able to attend due to illness, so I asked them to snap some pics for me...and they kindly obliged 😁 So... without further ado, here are the photos they took!

Clockwise from lower left: Paul, Villoo, Jerred, Daryl, Asifa, Yang, Phil and Vladan (~photo by Peter~)

I believe the pens in the box are Peter's -- I spotted his beloved blue Pilot 'Vanishing Point' and a yellow Lamy Safari he bought a few months ago! (~photo by Peter~)

Now, here are the photos Asifa took during the meeting...
Asifa said that this pen was "one that Jerred acquired. It’s a Elite Ladies Pilot E95 in EF. He said the model number was lost."

Asifa: "This pen was Villoo’s mother’s pen from India. It’s apparently real gold with a Sheaffer nib and wrote really smoothly."

(Above) Villoo’s original Parker '51'.

(Above) Paul’s Esterbrook from his school days.

Asife writes: "And finally this Sheaffer pen set was given to Paul and Villoo by his best friend. It was a gift for the best friend’s graduation in 1963. It has never been used and the nib was so beautifully smooth!!! Jared said it’s a PFM which I learned means Pen for Men! LOL!"

Thanks again to everyone who came to the meeting this month! Our February meeting information will be announced once I've booked the venue. Meeting info is always posted at the top of each web page in large red letters, as well as in the form of a blog post. If you have any questions about joining our club, please contact us at vancouverpenclub@gmail.com
Hope to see you in February!
