If you've been collecting fountain pens for quite a while, you might remember when the M620 City Series line of Pelikan fountain pens first came out, and how incredibly popular they were (and still are)... Here's Christopher's review of his Pelikan M620 City Series "San Francisco" fountain pen!

Christopher writes:
"As much as the model branding of this superb Pelikan pen has a lighthearted flavour, its overall make up is impressive. Of all the early two thousand Pelikan City Series, this is by far my favourite. I think a lot of that admiration has to do with the finish which, to my mind, can be simply described as stunning. A mixture of transparent browns and pearl. The finish literally comes alive when the pen is turned in the light. This finish is complemented with 14K gold filled fittings and a jet-black barrel ended piston filler knob.
The cap sports a long typically standard Pelikan gold ring clip, held in place with a plastic clip screw that features a black background with a gold Pelikan logo. Following down the cap to its open end is a double banding -- one wider band that sports the engraved wording Pelikan Souveran Germany, while directly above it is a narrow gold banding that smartly finishes off the cap. Housed underneath this cap is a 18K Gold, Fine two-tone nib that sits on top of a most adequate black feed. Both nib and feed are secured in a black grip section that is topped off with another thin gold banding. Two other thin gold bandings are featured at the bottom of the barrel, just above the filler knob. As for size, this fine pen posts at a full 6 inches capping back to 5 ¼ inches responsibly. This is a gorgeous pen in every sense of the word, and I would be hard pressed not to add it to my pen collection."
